The V+HD box

The Virgin Media V+HD box is one of the most powerful set top receivers currently available. As well as broadcasting programmes in glorious high definition, which affords a sharper, more detailed picture and sound quality you can pause, rewind and record live TV at the touch of a button with the V+ HD box. With the easy to use electronic programme guide (EPG) you can set recordings for up to 7 days ahead. As well as setting timers for individual programmes, you can set the V+ HD box to record every episode of a series, so you don't have to worry about having to set up recordings every week.

Better still, the advanced features of the V+ HD box mean you can record two channels whilst watching a third - something which only the V+ HD box can currently offer. The V+ HD box allows you to record up to 80 hours or programmes in standard definition or 20 hours of programmes in HD.

With the V+ HD box you can enjoy top UK and US comedy and drama with BBC HD, Channel 4 HD, LIVING HD and FX HD, home to programmes broadcast in HD such as Torchwood, Hollyoaks, CSI and Generation Kill. Get up and close with the best sporting action courtesy of ESPN HD to relive goals and those great match moments in high definition thanks to the pause, rewind record functions and immerse yourself in the myriad documentaries available from the National Geographic HD channel. Finally sit back, relax and catch up with the new BBC HD iPlayer, only available through the V+ HD box.

V+HD box prices

The V+ HD box is available with every Virgin Media TV package for a one-off fee of £75 on all Virgin Media TV packages. This one-off fee is waived for customers who sign up for the Virgin Media Very Impressive Package (a combination of premium broadband, TV inc. Sky Sports and Sky Movies and fixed-line call services).

Currently, customers signing up for the Virgin Media M, M+ and L TV packages will need to add an additional £5 a month on top of their existing subscription in order to make use of the various features of the V+ HD box. Customers with the Virgin Media M, M+ and L TV packages can access BBC HD and Channel 4 HD with the V+ HD box. There is no additional monthly fee for Virgin Media TV XL customers who want the V+ HD box. Virgin Media TV XL customers can access ESPN HD, FX HD, LIVING HD and National Geographic HD and MTVN HD.

As well as providing a selection of programmes broadcast on BBC channels, Channel 4 and Virgin 1, the Virgin Media Catch Up TV service also allows you to watch content broadcast on BBC HD and Channel 4 HD from the last 7 days

There is a range of popular favorites available to watch in HD from Virgin Media TV Choice On Demand including the BBC's Planet Earth, Six Feet Under, Ice Road Truckers and the TV adaptation of Douglas Coupland's novel jPod.

Movies HD and PictureBox HD
