Popular Channels

BBC Three (Freeview 7):
BBC Three (formerly BBC Choice) is the home of hit US animated comedy Family Guy and other homegrown hits including Gavin & Stacey, How Not To Live Your Life and the opinion dividing, long-running BBC Three staple, Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps.

BBC Four (Freeview 9):
BBC Four (formerly BBC Knowledge) that has broadcast a wide variety of drama, documentaries and alternative current affairs and comedy programmes including Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe, The Thick of It, and Flight of the Conchords.

ITV 2 (Freeview 6):
ITV2 is perhaps best known for it's reality TV and celebrity coverage including its long-running fly on the wall coverage of Katie Price and Peter Andre in Stateside, What Katie Did Next and Peter Andre: Going It Alone. ITV2 +1 is broadcast on Freeview 27 in Scotland and Northern Ireland and Freeview 33 in England and Wales.

Sky3 (Freeview 11):
Sky3 is the Sky's main entertainment channel on Freeview. Hit shows include Matt Groening's Futurama, 24, Cold Case, as well as Sky TV favourite Braniac: Science Abuse.

Sky Sports News (Freeview 83):
Focussing mainly on reporting highlights and news from and about the Barclays Premier League, Sky Sports News popular features include Gillette Soccer Special and Soccer Saturday presented by Ian Payne on Tuesdays and Wednesday and Jeff Stelling of Countdown fame on Saturdays.

Film 4 (Freeview 15):
Channel 4's previously subscription-only film channel is now available free on Freeview. Film4 broadcasts a wide range of films from modern and popular hits such as This Is England and Persepolis as well as classics including Brief Encounter and The Third Man.

E4 (Freeview 28):
E4 is the home of hit UK and US comedy and drama including Skins, The Inbetweeners, Ugly Betty, and One Tree Hill alongside old favourites Hollyoaks and Friends and Big Brother spin-off Big Brother's Little Brother. E4's timeshift channel E4+1 is shown on Freeview 29.

Dave (Freeview 19):
Dave, the "home of witty banter", plays host to classic comedy shows mainly from the BBC, including Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Mock the Week and Red Dwarf as well as its own panel shows like Argumental. Dave ja vu, Dave's timeshift channel can be found at Freeview 25.

Virgin 1 (Freeview 20):
Virgin 1 is the flagship channel from Virgin Media and broadcasts mainly US sci-fi and horror serials such as Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, The X-Files and Moonlight as well as long-running Playboy TV show Sexetera. Timeshift slot Virgin1+1 is shown on Freeview 35.

Yesterday (Freeview 12):
Yesterday (formerly known as UKTV History) shows a range of original historical documentaries such as Hitler's Bodyguard as well as repeats of popular documentaries and dramas including The World At War, Battlefield Britain, and the Alan Clarke Diaries and Sharpe.
